Today I had my first class! Only one, because only one department at school starts classes this week, and all the other ones start next week. I only have one class in that one department that I'm potentially taking, so I just have class Monday and Tuesday morning this week. Next week I'll have seven or eight since I'm trying out a couple extra classes before deciding on the five I want to stick with. My class was good! I had the same professor last semester for Cultural Anthropology; this semester he's teaching Ethnography. The classes are really similar, but I like the teacher and the topic so I think I'll stick with it.

I stopped on the way home after class to get my youth card. Basically youth cards get you discounts at museums, churches, on tickets, etc. Most places will take your university ID, so that's what I've been using. But when I went to the Thyssen it was just a reduced price with your university ID, but free with a youth card, and since I will be returning, it was definitely worth a stop. I also should've gotten it months ago just in case that ever happened, especially with traveling since it's recognized across Europe, and I just never got around to it.

I met up with the new linguistics major that's here this semester, Luke, for lunch. I forgot to take any pictures, sorry class. It was good though! Luke is also majoring in Spanish and Linguistics and he's living with Susana, my host mom from last semester, which is a funny coincidence.

I went to dinner at Artemisa (vegetarian restaurant--Noah is a fellow vegetarian) with Alex, Noah, and Jisenia and Larissa last night! (Larissa was fashionably late so she's not in this selfie.) It was really really fun! Noah was in the program last semester and is doing a program in France this semester. He was back in Madrid for a few days to take his Complutense final. Alex is new this semester and living with Noah's host mom from last semester this semester.

Carrot and pumpkin cake. I was skeptical, the sauce was kinda suspect to me, but it was really good.
